This guide is broken up roughly by the defining goals and resources of the game at the time. If you have a specific problem, go to the heading that best describes your level of play to hopefully find answers. There are other ways to get through some parts of the game, and this is not the only way to progress though it, but this method will work.

You will want to check if you are playing on castle.html or classic.html, both are the same game but Classic is fixed to a single layout and does not feature toggling layout sections or the favorite boxes that may be mentioned later in the guide but it does now have the favorite loot section as does Castle.

Check your options menu and configure the game as you like, there is a free badge for clicking the color scheme button 20 times in just under 2 seconds. You won't need to come back here often but new options will be added when you unlock chromatic heresy or a tool multibuy (This is important).

Start to K castles[]

If you are a new player: do yourself a favor and Molpy Down as soon as you get to NewPix 3 for time travel it is worth it trust me.

Click and get sand. Try to focus on castle tools as sand tools are not super great early. Familiarize yourself with the interface and how processes like the ONG work. Get boosts as you can, especially things that improve clicks. You will want to be focused on getting redundakitties so you can get the important upgrades they provide for having clicked a certain number of them. This part is pretty straightforward.

You want to get Kitnip and the DoRD as soon as possible. The faster you get kitties the better (however, please do not be up all night to get Not Lucky).

Some interface notes:

  • Hovering the mouse pointer on most of the tools, boosts, etc. expands them to give more information. If the "Stats" bar is active, many of these show different information (more details, or different details). This can also activate new features (adding or removing buttons, unlocking new boosts in the shop). So be sure to check each new thing both with and without the Stats bar.
  • Redundakitties can appear in front of any tool, shop item, or loot item (including badges earned or badges available), totally at random. If you've hidden a loot section (e.g. badges available) and the redundakitty chooses to appear in front of an available badge, you'll miss it. So don't hide any sections. However, if you toggle off the entire loot window then kitties can't appear there at all -- they will be forced into the tool or shop windows. (This is also the only workaround for a known Logicat bug you'll run into later.) Toggling off the tool or shop windows has the same effect of limiting where they can spawn but you will be using those windows.
  • you can change the interface in castle.html by using devtools to edit the html placement of the icons to move them around, that way you can reposition the stats and such so that they don't overlap, also use the layout function to save your interface when done!

K to M castles[]

Start trying to get 14 of every tool so you can unlock the boosts associated with each one. This will make npb VERY strong and they will produce tons of castles. also make sure to get HALO-kitty because it really blows up npb production. Make sure you don't ninja them! A good way to do this is to get 8 waves to unlock the rivers which will produce lots of castles. Do yourself a favor and toggle Chromatic Heresy (on & off 10 times) until you unlock Beachball, and turn it on. Don't click the Newpix when it's red! It's worth the habit of pausing to note the color of the border (which is easier to see in the dark theme) when you get Blitzing. Even if it's safe to click, this only "wastes" a fraction of a second.

Eventually get to 22 npb so you can get blast furnace which is pretty important. (except for me cause i dont see it helping all that much) You should get to kitties galore here which makes redundakitties pretty frequent. I won't be mentioning kitties anymore, but it's paramount you get to at least 776 of them, so keep clicking them. also if you are finding it hard to get sand for kitties galore then save and load 20 times for coma molpy style and use that to grind sand.

If you got time travel, it can be worthwhile to time travel back and forth until you get 30 "temporal invaders". Time traveling farther back makes the travelling less expensive to do all the jumps to get 30 invaders but be mindful of the countdown timer for the next ONG, you can not travel farther forward than you have naturally progressed and so it is important to be on your current highest NP when the timer expires. The invaders are special npb, and at this phase they will add a lot to your income. If you did not Molpy Down earlier, do not worry about this part! It helps but is not really that necessary, and you will get time travel later regardless.

M to G castles[]

If you haven't gotten far enough to get to the judgement dip , you'll probably have to wait. If you're lucky you'll get some blast furnaces in with your factory automation, try to get just enough sand before an ONG that you can max out your profit from it, generally about 3/4 from the next castle. When you get the dip DO NOT BUY BAG BURNING. It is a very temporary fix and will ultimately make this stage take longer. If you buy it accidentally, you can sell bags (disable No Sell if needed) to decrease the power. Bag Burning will lock itself if it burns down to under 14 bags. Also, when you have nav code active, Bag Burning will do nothing and can safely be bought to get it out of your menu (though this does mean that, if you turn the code off later, you may need to sell and rebuy all your bags before they get burnt).

Just wait it out, and eventually you'll unlock everything (1 upgrade for every castle tool and navigation code). Your goal here is to buy irregular rivers and sandbag, which will make your rivers super jacked. Don't worry about code blowing up npb production with nav code, once you have the other boosts their production is largely irrelevant for a very long time anyways. Get balancing act towards the end.  YOU MUST TURN ON NAVIGATION CODE. FIND THE BOOST, CLOSE THE STATS BAR, AND CLICK INSTALL. This is a step many players miss, and generates a lot of questions.

A note regarding invader npbs: installing the NAV CODE will cause the invaders to disappear. At this point you may want to buy a bunch of npbs. You can regain the invaders by waiting for Jamming to expire, then uninstalling the Nav Code (which will restart the Judgement Dip, it will also destroy any temporal duplicates of npbs that you have which can be considerably more than the 30 Invader npbs), then time travelling again. You'll have to do the math to decide whether you want to continue playing with or without the Judgement Dip. You can keep the cost under control with Knights Temporal for a while.

You will also have a chance to get a glass furnace in here sometime. Buy it and turn it on ASAP. Progress through glass chip production until you get the blower, and then progress that until you have the extruder and refinery. Initially you'll only be putting a little sand into it but you should ramp it up to 90ish% quickly, as after this phase of the game clicks will be most of your sand income, and glass becomes very important later on. Just getting to these boosts takes a long time, but isn't very resource intensive, so do it now before you need the glass.

G to T castles[]

Blast furnace is gonna be the name of the game here. If you're on longpix already (NewPix 241 or later) and have it, turn off furnace crossfeed so you can get castles. Blast furnace also really picks up when you get fractal sandcastles, so that should be a priority buy. You should upgrade your sand tools so you can get most of the boosts for having 30-50 of them (look at the boost list if you want to know exactly) and make sure you have enough sand that you furnace the max amount (up to 1/3 your all time castles built). It's also worth saving just before the npb activate and reloading a few times to get furnace runs instead of ASHF. Your goal here is bag puns and VITSSAGEN, JA!, although I liked picking up Blixtnedslag Kattungar, JA! on the way. if Vitsaggen JA is too much of a grind try waiting for MHP and then using it with all your castles, if it fails just reload and try again this can help you grind more castles for Vitsagen and eventually chef.

Once you have vitssagen, ja (500G with ASHF if you've spend 200M on other things like tools/boosts for silver card, which you should) and have used it 20 times, you will unlock swedish chef. Another long grind will get you to this, one of the most important boosts. You can speed it up if you click a lot, but VITSSAGEN probably won't outpace your furnace. Wait for ASHF to buy it, then immediately look at it in stats and buy family discount for 80% off everything. Use your newfound cheap prices to buy up any outstanding boosts, and make sure you get Swim between the flags around this time. It's half your ticket up.

T to P castles[]

Hopefully you're at or near longpix, because those boosts are about to be important. Use Rosetta to upgrade factory automation a few times, and get 50 trebuchets and 100 of all sand tools. Unlock all the related boosts and then ride it out on the trebs/furnace/waves (make sure you're not skimping on tools, you want them to be at most 3 orders of magnitude less in cost than your ability to produce. So if you have 100T make sure all your tools cost at least 1T) Save up to get to 20P for free advice to unlock/buy.

P to Inf castles[]

Once you get free advice, glass ceilings become available. You need to be furnacing glass instead of castles now (crossfeed and multitasking), and once your production is fine enough that you can unlock a ceiling, get 0. Continue to bump up your glass production until you feel comfortable spending ~40 blocks during an ASHF and get to ceiling 3 ASAP. This is the first big swing and will take you well up into E. Get phonesaw and use it a few times so you can easily get logicats. The next several orders of magnitude revolve around unlocking more ceilings (7 is the next really big bump) and clicking logicats. Keep upgrading glass production, you should be throwing 99.x% sand into it and getting most of your sand from clicking. Sand is consistently 8-10 orders of magnitude higher until about W or KW, and now it's about breaking even. When you get your first crate, smashing it is probably a good idea for a quick glass fix for ceilings/general use, but after that buy keys.

The next phase is fairly fluid and involves getting logicastle from logic rewards (50% cumulative boost for EACH logicat level) and riding that until you have 444 scaffolds to trade for window washing beanies, which gives your scaffolds a huge boost to all your glass ceilings. If you're clever you can sell all your scaffolds when you get a temporal duplication and buy up early. Either way just make sure you build up all of your tools when they're really cheap (you'll be leaping several prefixes at a time on odd NP it might be a smart idea to switch to scientific numbers if the units are confusing you thought there is a glitch for 1,2,3,4, with sciNum on) and then dump the rest in waves/flags/scaffolds. Keep getting maximum rewards from crates (set your shopping assistant to autobuy Crate Key, remember the caps). The blackprints should be started early, and after you get your first crate opened with keys (or otherwise have enough glass), you should be spamming caged logicat every NP. Make use of castle crusher once your castles outpace your sand if you need the sand.

Unlock Time Lord by getting a rift, saving and loading, taking the rift, and then clicking jump in the log. Upgrade it with the flux crystals you get. Save before you jump, if you didn't jump to an even longpix (going to an even gives you the wave boost) then load and repeat. Make sure you click for stealth since you'll often have factory ninja. You should make it to infinite castles in no time, and once you are there, castle crusher will get you infinite sand, which will replenish your infinite castles. Buy up to max on every tool.

As a side note, when 9 blocks per not lucky is not a lot of blocks for you, turn on panther salve and unlock the boosts you get from it, but turn them off. They suck before you get to the glass part of the game or have all of them to stack, but once you're inf/inf they provide a nice little boost to glass income. Leave it on until it's at speed 1200+ (look in stats view) and then turn it off. When you're infinite/infinite turn it and the next two on, and if you're ok losing some tools now and again you can turn on catamaran and let the cat out of the bag. If you do have all the boosts before infinite phase, you can use them to accelerate your castle generation by a lot, but the cost in glass is not trivial. Still, it can be better than waiting for ONGs/rifts if you don't play over long periods.

Inf sand and castles[]

The biggest thing to be doing at this phase is getting tool factory (the only way to progress) and making sure you're still getting as many blackprints as possible. Pump your glass chip production up as blitzing is now replaced with glass furnace runs (!!!). You really want to be getting at least 100k chips per firing, and dumping it all back into more chips when blocks permit. Save enough blocks to get upgrades. Locking ceilings is likely to put your castle income well into the finite range, and if you buy something that costs infinite castles and sand (which will likely include crates), you may need to wait for DORD or Logicats to unlock a few ceilings. At this point, ceilings 0-9 are all but free. but it is essential to lock most ceilings for tool factory to work efficiently

First order of business is getting sand to glass and castles to glass. Sand to glass is obtained when you have 7470 buckets and infinite sand per mNP. Lock all glass ceilings except 0 and 3. Load chips into the factory until you have the right number of buckets. Lock 0, and then pump up the factory until you have infinite sand per mNP (remember trebs cumulatively boost buckets, so once you have infinite with no ceilings you'll always have infinite. This is around 3440 trebs). At this point, load the tool factory once and sand to glass unlocks. Buy it for a paltry income of chips in your factory.

If you get MHP, try to get a goat! You'll need goats and you don't need castles now. If you get hall of mirrors, turn it off. Trust me, start this grind early.

Next you want castles to glass: this one is easy. Have infinite castles, and 1515 npb. Load the Tool Factory once and it will unlock. Buy it! This is officially the end of the tyranny of sand/castles. Castles to Glass becomes much more effective with the boost Backing Out. Get that, and try to speed-click chips into the Tool Factory near the end of each NP, so as to kick-start the castle tools' production.

Now your goal is to only be making one kind of sand tool at a time and getting it to 20K (usually, check the boosts list ) so you can buy the upgrades for their chip production. Turn on the ceiling of the tool you want and turn all others off. When you have an excess of chips, put them in, but make sure you keep upgrading capacity/production. You may have to wait around for some boosts to ensure you have enough blocks, but crates should have you covered. Unlock blackprint plans as you earn them, and keep spamming logicats as the logic level gives you some important boosts, it speeds up crates, and effects how many blocks you get per crate. If you want, you can make some monuments now, but I'd recommend waiting for Automation Optimiser. Sometime around here you should hit 4k chips/mNP and get glass saw.

Mid to late inf sand and castles[]

Construct from blackprints as often as you can; your goal is to get to Automata Assembly, and Automata Engineers right after it. Get to 5000 NewPixBots for Production Control and, as often as you can afford to make another set of tools, increase it. With all ceilings off, it takes 78K chips per mNP per 12 tools, so do a bit of napkin math if you have to to see if it's worth increasing. Before long it will be pretty often that you want to push it up, and remember the bigger the increment the better. Production Control levels are one of the few things retained when you molpy down, so this is a big priority. Your first big break will come when you get about 2M beanie builders. Immediately trade them in with recycling beanies to get it to inf (assuming you have a few T blocks to buy the boost with) and then rebuild only beanies till you're back up to snuff. This will give you tons of chips. You'll want to do the same with scaffolds and window washing beanies, but you need about 50M of them so it will happen a bit later.

From here on out is kind of a long slog where you balance having enough chips to continue making tools, using glass saw to turn chips into blocks, and using those blocks for boosts/pc versus your furnace/blower. I recommend getting tools evenly, although some people prefer only scaffold/beanie/bag/ladder. Just don't neglect cuegan and lapetite if you do this because they're very important later. You should keep up with your furnace because glass saw is limited by your blower rate. Your goal is to keep going up and up until you can get friendship is molpish, which will make your cuegan/lapetite chips per mNP cover your costs for tools so you can safely saw out all your beanie builder/scaffold chips for blocks. In the meantime, spend your blackprints on construction until you get Mysterious Representations, then spend it all on Automata Control (which unlocks from having 7.5k npb, you'll get it organically). If you go to sleep and wake up and just have plenty of them, go ahead and pick up Zookeeper, but it's not a priority until it looks kinda cheap.

After you unlock AC, lock Glass Ceiling 1 to stop producing npbs. This will prevent Fireproof from becoming too expensive. When you've got a bunch of time to kill, you can work on unlocking Fireproof, even if you can't afford to buy it yet. You unlock it by uninstalling the nav code, and then buying Bag Burning over and over, several hundred times (with Stats and Loot enabled).

Yes, you will be spending a long time here, and it will not really speed up significantly. Your milestones are pretty far apart and are split in two ways: dragon rewards and blackprint/production rewards.

Your blackprints and other production should be a focus simply because they get you bigger numbers, and you eventually want really big numbers so you can have lots of stuff. The more you ramp up that production, the more you can work on the actual goal: feeding your achronal dragon. If you haven't already, time travel around a bunch (with nav code off!), and then eat your npb duplicates. If you have some temporal duplication dupes around, eat them too since they're not important. The goal is 100 eaten total, which unlocks crystal dragon (lets temporal duplication work with TF, lets you get TD in the infinite phase). You have a side goal now which is to get not lucky while your TD is up, which will require you to try to get it right before npb with caged logicat so you can double factory automation it (turn off key buying as that will eat all your DoRDs for this). You can track your progress in free advice. Once you have lucky twin, you want to do the same double automation trick. Your goal is to get TD to at least 1NP this way so you can have it forever. Once you're at ~1KNP you can forget about this as it will naturally get bigger and bigger.

When you unlock clicking for chips, get your chips clicked to 1M for the next boost, then to 5M so you can get glassed lightning. It's blitzing for chips and will be important to have later. Buy Fireproof when you can afford it (pretty expensive). It will boost your npb chips a lot for a while, and it makes nav code switching fast (20mNP cooldown). Importantly, you will be at 0 castles every mNP unless you click, which is a little inconvenient, but it lets logicats unlock rifts for you which are super good now that most of you chips come from ONG. When you get your first rift, save and then load, and then take the rift. Keep leveling timelord, and make sure you don't rift to shortpix. At AC 60 you'll get access to locked vaults from the dord. Locked vaults provide 10 + (# of vaults opened) so they ramp up very quickly. The chance of getting one at AC 60 is quite low (actually 0% till you get 61), but increases with each AC level untill it fully unlocks at 300. For now, continue to autobuy crate keys (and manually buy locked vaults and vault keys if you get lucky), especially if you're leaving it on overnight. With Crate Key on autobuy, you can spam click your Question Qubes to get more blackprints as each Qube normally unlocks a crate key. This can help you ramp up to finally hit triple digit AC.

Next dragon thing happens at AC 101. Remember all those tedious mould building things you did? They're a bit easier with this, but it's not a huge boost. Remember to unlock all dragon things you have to eat some duplicates after you hit the requisite AC level. You should at this point switch to autobuying Vault Keys, since they unlock much more frequently at this level. This is the worst part of the grind: getting to 301 AC. It will take forever and is terrible, but you get dragon forge for it which makes the blackprint cost of increasing AC MUCH easier, although it costs some logicat levels to do it. Make sure you've picked up Zookeeper by this time.

Keep ramping up PC/AC until you get to 555 (ugh) and then your dragon will unlock thunderbird (which is ok by itself, I guess). You need to have lightning rod for this to be good, which means you have to get glassed lightning while having factory ninja and ninja stealth ready to go (so you can click for automation), then get GL. Once you have it, buy a crate, then click the picture. If you don't get LR unlocked, load and do it again. Once you have both LR and TB your GL power will go up every time you unlock it. This is important for the next dragon (foundry) at 777 which increases your TD number of duplicates made by 1/10000 of your GL power (starts at 400). In order to have this you need to have max PC, which means you probably need the Crystal Flux Turbine which costs 40k blackprints. It's worth it though, as you can easily ride cuegan/lapetite all the way up to max PC on this and it will skyrocket your economy. Then get the foundry which you use to increase TD, which is how you continue to make your tool production go up after PC is maxed.

Preparing for First Molpy Down[]

It's worth noting that there is some contention about the usefulness of the prizes, but as it is part of the intended progression (and it is entirely possible that there will be more tiers later), I would suggest you consider doing your first reset now. You probably want to at least get Now Where Was I, or wait until you're on a NP which you have a discovery for so you can continue to progress towards vacuum cleaner.

By now you should be a small powerhouse of blackprints, glass, and tools. There isn't a lot else to do from here to infinite tools really, but you still want to be ready for your first reset. It's worth mentioning that if you can afford to run the vacuum cleaner, you can get to infinite GL (and most importantly to Lightning in a bottle, which will let you keep part of that temporary GL you just powered up) relatively easy by spamming qubes. This is especially appealing if you don't have a lot of time to idly tab over to activate it with a qube or logicat puzzle. It takes about a week with pretty constant reactivating of GL, and with the GL power boosts you can get away with MD before you get to infinite.

There's one more dragon to get at AC 888, but you have to have TWW tools before you can unlock it, as well as 100 saved puzzles (use crouching panther a few times). I'd say spend blackprints on increasing your AC to about 1k, 2k at a maximum. You want to be stockpiling tons of logicat levels with all the panther pokes you're getting, and start saving up flux crystals from rifts (I like to have 200 per MD, which doesn't take long with 9 rifts per NP). You can increase flux rate by saving/loading like you did to unlock time lord, waiting for rift to expire, then spamming the jump button. You won't get any ONGs, but you'll get more crystals than just taking rifts.

You also want goats. Lots of goats. At this point factory automation is pretty crappy, so ninja your npbs. You'll unlock ninja ritual, which lets you get a goat for a ninja, which increases for every 5 consecutive ninjas! Use rifts to get it to at least 5, then either wait for the np to end without activating stealth, or rift without clicking to ninja. This should unlock herder, which means even when you idle you get goats! This is the best way to get goats. You want goats, save up some goats.

At some point, you'll be like "I can get the next blackprint reward for 90k". You need 400(!) goats for this, so don't use them all up. This is bag of holding, which you MUST have before your first reset. It lets you keep up to 1W of your sand, castles, glass, blackprints, crystals, goats, qubes, and bonemeal after you MD, and lets you get prizes which is the only reason you want to reset in the first place. Get it, and tuck it away for now.

Once you get shadow dragon, start eating some logicat puzzles. It's better to do it when you're close to the next increment of 100 (196, 494 etc) as you have a higher chance of getting not 1 bonemeal. You need 30 to MD, but I'd say get a few hundred if you can before you do. You'll also want several M blackprints (I had 45, yes it's quite possible with vaults), and as mentioned at least 200 flux crystals. Goats you should be fine on. Your tools get to infinity because of a copious number of GL unlocks. You only have to do this grind once thanks to lightning in a bottle, so you might as well do it now. When you get here, eat your tools with achronal dragon and they'll become "mustard tools". Get your badge, and then for every mustard tool you have you'll get 1 mustard per click. Click up to about 55k (this will hold you over pretty well until you have other ways of getting it) and then use mustard sale and some savescumming to clear them out and get them to infinity again. It should go without saying that by now you have infinite glass block/chips. This is very, very important.

At this point, consider whether you want to Molpy Down at all. The most useful prizes are Doubletap (for Mustard clicking), Between the Cracks (which lets you open vaults while running the Vacuum Cleaner) and Eww (which gives you a way to turn Mustard into Bonemeal). Most of the other prizes simply let you Molpy Down a tiny bit faster. If you want to skip the Molpy Down grind (or stop doing it when the Bonemeal costs get ridiculous), just jump ahead to Vacuums.

Still here? Take a deep breath. Time to take the plunge. 

You should savescum your molpy until you get 2 of the following: short saw, doubletap, spare tools. Short saw is great if you really hate clicking (if you haven't already, turn on mousekeys), and coupled with doubletap makes getting glass saw up again a breeze. Spare tools will get you to 7470 buckets and 1515 npb for sand/castles to glass without a lot of ceiling hassle. You also want the tool you retain from No Need to be Neat to be any sand tool other than buckets, not a castle tool.

First Molpy Down[]

The first part of the game is gonna be hilariously easy, and mostly predicated on how fast you get your cats back in gear. Immediately go to longpix somewhere (ideally the latest one, as you'll eventually need to get to NP999 to progress), and start buying stuff! Buy tools up to infinity, buy all the boosts, buy buy buy! Some important things to remember:

  • Immediately get the glass stuff from chip/block storage, and immediately switch on your furnace/blower. It will take a while for them to come on. 
  • Remember to unlock everything you can via chateau and rosetta.
  • It might be worth savescumming your first caged logicat reward for panther rush so you can accelerate your logic rewards
  • If you don't savescum for Panther Rush, be sure to save at least once to bring back the autosave option.
  • Once you have bought the millions of boosts, remember to click a bunch for bag puns to unlock saw, and then afterwards for swedish chef.
  • Turn chromatic heresy on and off a crapload for beach ball to come back.
  • If you have spare tools, you can use that to get your buckets/npb high enough for sand/castles to glass.
  • Blackprint construction is your bottlneck here, so start it up as soon as you have 17 in automation (need doublepost to upgrade it). Remember: if you rift after npb go off you get extra building! If you have 9 in time lord you can do 340 runs per NP, and that will blast you through pretty fast. (The first temporal rifts won't appear if you have infinite castles, so check that if you don't see any rifts after MD)
  • Qubes are your best friend! Once you have dord, spam qubes to unlock all your boosts super duper fast! The sooner you get them all unlocked and bought the sooner you'll be able to start blackprints, get doublepost for factory upgrades etc

Once you have infinite chips/mNP, go ahead and upgrade your extruder/purifier to a little over 500 each to get seaish if you intend to build up your blower/furnace again. You should probably at least put some into it so you don't start to bleed out chips/blocks. Start sawing those blocks out! You'll have to do a lot of clicking, but you do eventually need infinite blocks again. Kind of tedious, yes, but oh well. Follow the mid/late info again if you forget something, but it should go pretty damn fast once you get back to AA/AC. PC unlocks at 5k npb and will immediately blast you into GW tools, so it's usually worthwhile to lock everything but ceiling 1 until you have it. Remember that all tools have to be Infinite for AA to really take off - if any are Mustard instead, you'll grind to a halt.

From here, your goals are mostly advancing in NP for discoveries and getting back to bag of holding and your previous stuff amounts. Flux crystals are likely to keep you from MD immediately after you get the bag, as a reset with few crystals is gonna make you cry when you're still making the glass mould maker 3 days in. Be patient, and after about 4 molpies you'll have all the t1 prizes. The 4 I listed are the only ones really worth a damn, and don't use the single use ones at all (you shouldn't need them if you're carrying that infinite tool through your resets or getting back to infinite with lightning in a bottle). Once you unlock the Bag of Molding when you MD you know you're at t2 next reset! Exciting!

Note: Using the single use ones locks them and unlocks another reward of Tier 1. You can use them and get useful ones instead.

T2-T4 prizes[]

Be aware of increasing Bonemeal costs for your bags when you Molpy Down. Bag of Holding only requires 10 Bonemeal; Bag of Moulding (tier 2) costs another 100; the tier 3 bag costs another 1000. Never Molpy without enough Bonemeal to fuel all of your bags.

Bag of Moulding makes your MD much shorter since you need many fewer blackprints to get to AA, and the t2 boosts are pretty decent. Soul Drain is one of the better ones, although it goes off very, very infrequently and you won't be just rolling in bonemeal or anything. Between the cracks is pretty convenient as well, and in combination with factory expansion will help to speed things up a bunch if you want to savescum your prizes. Rush Job is good, just not while you're going through prizes.

T3 is probably the most important bag. It lets you keep glass saw, AA, and a lot of the other kind of nice but not necessary boosts like no sell and beachball. Archimedes lever makes doing mould work trivially easy, and if you're opening vaults you'll more or less automatically get discoveries without trying. The real prize here is Eww, which will let you get bonemeal at a much faster rate than the shadow dragon. Mustard your tools so you only have 1 sand tool left and perhaps your npb (for ritual goats), then click away. It's pretty easy to rack up enough mustard to get many thousands of bonemeal, which you'll need since the bag bonemeal costs are getting pretty hefty now. If you get GoatONG make sure you wait for swedish chef and ashf and it won't cost any vacuums!

T4 is mostly a matter of having the right expensive materials. Heavy bonemeal cost, flux crystal cost for many of the boosts and the bag. MD when you can, there are only 5 prizes, and all of them are pretty good. Crystal memories can help you spam up some crystals if you need them. Lubrication makes switching your blower/furnace nearly instantaneous. Riser is way less clicking for seaish upgrades, and the crown jewel is mould press, which has possibly the worst description. With lever, it will take ALL of your AA runs and chain apply them to making monuments. You get a new discovery? Next mNP the glass monument for it is already done, with no input from you. Sitting on about 100 you were too lazy to do? Watch them blast through in quick succession. Very fancy.


At some point during all this, hopefully you got to around NP 560 and have been good about snapping the Camera for your discoveries. When you get to 50 minus discoveries, you get Vacuum Cleaner. This has two purposes: 1) it makes vacuums, which are good and 2) you can use it to easily unlock Lightning Rod. Turn it on while you have Glassed Lightning, open some Qubes with no key autobuy, get LR. It's pretty expensive crystalwise to start, so up your time lord levels.

The first use for Vacuums is buying Italian Plumber. Plumber + Robotic Shopper (set to Locked Vault and Vault Key) lets you sit back and collect Blackprints without having to click anything. This is greatly helpful for rebuilding a few million Blackprints while you're Molpying. Or, if you don't have infinite tools yet, you can use the Plumber without any autobuy to trigger Glassed Lightnings for you, to (re)build tools.

If you have Between the Cracks (level 2 prize), you can run the Plumber and the Cleaner together. Otherwise you can't until you save up for Aleph One, which requires 800M QQs and 800M Blackprints. You'll want one of these, so make Aleph One a priority if you skipped the Molpy stage.

At this point, whether you Molpy Downed or not, you are focused on a new set of resources:

  • Blackprints: Open vaults, or let Italian Plumber open them (recommended).
  • Flux Crystals: Open vaults (as above), and take rifts every ONG. Level up Time Lord (which costs Crystals) to get more rifts per ONG. Level up Dragon Forge (AA) to get more Crystals per vault.
  • Logicat Level: Solve Caged Logicat puzzles. Use Logicat Levels, Blackprints and Mustard to boost Panther Rush (PR) level, to build up puzzles faster. Dragon Forge level also makes puzzles build up faster. Boost CD,SP (which costs Goats) to store more Logicats. PR also controls how high you can boost CD,SP.
  • Goats: Ninja your NewPixBots each ONG, and then ninja each rift. This builds up your Ninja Ritual level so you get more Goats per ninja. Boost Time Lord to get more rifts.
  • Mustard: Get infinite blocks and tools, and feed the tools to your Achronal Dragon (one at a time). Click the picture. Doubletap helps you get twice as much Mustard.
  • Bonemeal: Feed Caged Logicats to the Shadow Dragon. The Shadow Dragon may be "greedy" or "generous"; the chance is dependent on the last two digits (Logicats mod 100), so always try to feed it xx90 Logicats, not xx00. Boost Panther Rush to build up Logicats faster, so you can feed the Shadow Dragon more often.
  • Vacuum: Turn on the Vacuum Cleaner, which consumes Flux Crystals and QQs. Boost with This Sucks, Overtime, Black Hole, Time Dilation, et al.

Your overall goal here is to build up vacuums, which requires Flux Crystals. You can get Flux Crystals by opening rifts, waiting them for expire, then clicking "Jump" in the log. But this is tedious, and at 7 mNP per rift you won't be able to do this more than a few dozen times per NP. In the long run it's better simply to build up Dragon Forge and keep opening vaults. Take rifts immediately for Goats instead of crystals. Eventually build up Time Lord to level 50 and get Flux Harvest (but it'll cost 80M Blackprints to buy with ASHF, so there's no rush).

Keep solving Logicats. Build up Dragon Forge and Panther Rush as often as you can. Crouching Dragon can only be built up to level 100 until you get PR much higher, but max it anyway. When Forge and PR start getting high, you'll get a lot of puzzles quickly.

Once it's not too expensive, leave the cleaner running and save up 8000 vacuums so you can get This Sucks and start improving the cleaner. Once it's around level 4, save up a few thousand vacuums and get Italian Plumber up to level 6 so it opens a vault every mNP. Alternate between Plumber and Cleaner as needed.

To unlock Overtime, keep jumping back and forth between shortpix and longpix, re-buying Doublepost every time, until you've unlocked Safety Blanket (50 times). Buy it, and you won't lose Doublepost any more. Now jump back and forth another 172 times (you can see your progress in the Doublepost description in Stats mode) to get Overtime, which doubles your Vacuum Cleaner runs in longpix. (Black Hole will need infinite crystals and blackprints, so you probably can't get that yet.)

When you have a lot of vacuums built up, turn on void starer so you can boost your blackprint production. Now it's all a delicate dance of using your logicat levels/blackprints on more dragon forge/panther rush (which gets you more logicat levels and blackprints), deciding between saving vacuums for a better starer bonus or spending them to get more vacuums, and spamming the crap out of crystals.

When you can run Plumber and Cleaner together, remember that you only get Flux Crystals from vaults when there's a rift showing. Fortunately it doesn't have to be a functional rift; a dead one works too. So, start each NP by deactivating Aleph (or Cracks?) and the Cleaner, until a rift appears; then turn them back on.

Mid Vacuums[]

At this point you should have Vacuum Cleaner, Italian Plumber, Void Starer, Void Vault, and one of Aleph One or Between the Cracks, all running full time (or nearly). Keep boosting This Sucks as often as you can, top priority, until level 2000. Meanwhile, there are some other goals you can pursue.

If you haven't already, feed over a thousand puzzles to the Shadow Dragon to unlock Shadow Feeder. This will be your primary source of Bonemeal for a long time, converting unused puzzles to Bonemeal while you idle.

Panther Rush should be boosted using Mustard (which requires manual clicking) until you can't click any more. Once you reach that point, put PR on hold for a while, but keep solving Logicats to boost Dragon Forge.

Flux Crystals are the next task. Keep boosting Time Lord. Level 1000 gets you Fertiliser, which multiplies your Flux Harvest at the cost of 2% of your Bonemeal. It's probably not worth activating Fertiliser right away, because you won't have enough Bonemeal to give a huge multiplier, and you're still getting more crystals out of vaults than you are from harvest. Later (when you have several million Bonemeal), it will be worthwhile and you can build up TL exponentially.

(A typical Newpix: at the ONG, buy any TL levels you can, set the Pope for Flux Crystals, activate Fertiliser, harvest. Reinvest the crystals into more TL levels, harvest again. Repeat depending on how much Bonemeal you wish to spend. Turn Fertiliser off, harvest, buy TL levels. Turn off Vacuum and Aleph to make rifts appear. Take a few rifts for Goats, and to reset the Pope. Jump back to your highest NP, snap the Camera, set the Pope for vacuums, turn Vacuum Cleaner and Aleph back on, and harvest one last time. Let the game idle to rebuild Bonemeal, checking periodically for This Sucks upgrades. Solve logicat puzzles if you feel like it.)

Infinite TL/crystals get you Black Hole, which will double your vacuum production, and Shadow Ninja, which should help with Goats (but requires turning off Italian Plumber to do so). With infinite Blackprints it will also unlock Time Dilation for yet another doubling of vacuum production (among other things).

Infinite Blackprints can be had once you have a few hundred This Sucks levels and some time to idle. Enable Void Starer/Vault and let your vacuums pile up for a while, instead of reinvesting them in TS. About 7 million vacuums should get you to infinite Blackprints, though it will also depend on how many vaults you've opened. Once you have the prints, you can dump them all into TS, and disable Void Starer/Vault.

Some mathematics:

  • Fertiliser gives you a Flux Harvest multiplier of pow(1.001, Bonemeal/1000). At 5M Bonemeal, the multiplier is 148. At 10M, it's 21,916. At 15M, it's 3,244,607.
  • Void Starer gives you a Locked Vault Blackprint multiplier of pow(1.01, Vacuum/100). At 1M Vacuum, the multiplier is 10^43 (10W). At 2M Vacuum, the multiplier is 10^86 (100WW). At 3M, it's 10^129 (KWWW). At 4M, it's 10^172 (10KWWWW). At 5M, it's 10^216 (MQ). At 6M, it's 10^259 (10MWQ). At 7M, it's 10^302 (100MWWQ), or close to infinite.

If you idle long enough for This Sucks to get an "increase by 10" button, you may lose your infinite Blackprints (the TS upgrade will cost them all) and have to repeat the 7M vacuum idle, particularly when you're ready to buy Black Hole.

After getting infinite Blackprints and Flux Crystals, don't forget to do a bunch of jumps between shortpix and longpix to unlock Time Dilation.

After that, it's time to focus on the felines. You can spend Bonemeal on Panther Rush, since you no longer need it for Flux Harvest. Bananananas opens at PR 80, but is pretty useless at this point. You'll need 800G QQs (plus infinite prints) to buy Black Hole, so keep solving Logicats and boosting PR, CDSP and Dragon Forge.

Your next goal is Cress, at CDSP level 445. This will dramatically increase Mustard production (you should have several million goats from Shadow Ninja), finally letting you get some real Panther Rush levels.

Increasing CDSP beyond 430 is tedious, because it requires infinite Achronal Dragon power. Basically, you will have to destroy tools, click to regain blocks, destroy a second set of tools, increase CDSP by 1 point, and repeat. You can get 6 CDSP points before you have to do a Mustard Sale and repeat. (Once you have Cress, all this clicking will get you plenty of mustard, but there's no need to raise CDSP by large amounts yet.)

Bananananas becomes marginally useful once you're raising PR by 50 (or more) at a time with mustard. (Note: in version 4, you have to activate Bananananas. If your caged logicats keep disappearing after the update, find the boost and turn it on.) When you're solving a logicat puzzle (by hand), it takes a little while. While that's happening, your caged logicats continue to build up. If the caged logicats build up to a higher number than your current puzzle-in-progress, then your puzzle-in-progress uses those logicats. So, it basically shifts some logicats from bonemeal production to Logicat Level production, but only while actively solving puzzles.

Tangled Tesseract (at 1P QQs) will help you build up Logicat Levels faster (QQs are not currently needed). The next upgrade after that is probably Ninja Tortoise, at 77k Ninja Ritual (lots of idling), which should help you get goats faster, which gets you mustard faster (or at least with less clicking), which gets you Panther Rush faster.

Late Vacuums[]

After This Sucks level 1000, you should notice that the cost per TS level is going down instead of up. Keep working on it until level 2000, at which point the price drops to 0 and you can instantly jump up to 3000. (If you are forced to multi-buy TS past 1000, reduce the TS level until you can multi-buy 1000.)

At this point, opinions on various forums conflict about the best way to get to 4445. Some people recommend continuing the climb to 4445 the same way you climbed to 2000. Some recommend stockpiling vacuums at TS level 3000 for a while (around 1.09G vacuums), then selling vacuums to reduce TS down to 2445 (if QQs are not a consideration), then doing two 1000 TS multi-buys. This is about 4% faster than not selling.

However you get there, TS 4445 is an extremely important target, to unlock What If We Tried More Power? (WIWTMP), for even more vacuums. (After you buy the boost, you have to go into it and click some buttons. Don't neglect this.)

Continue working logicats, Panther Rush, Dragon Forge and CDSP. CDSP level 1025 unlocks The Fading, but it'll cost 80H QQs to buy, so there's no urgency. PR and DF help you build up Bonemeal, which is important for dragons later on. Ninja Tortoise is super important for the ninja ritual -> goats -> mustard -> PR production path.

You will almost certainly be able to start working on Dragons long before you reach the higher levels of vacuums and cats, so work in parallel.

High vacuums (post WIWTMP) let you buy Mutant Tortoise, which should eventually boost your goats (hence mustard) high enough to max out Panther Rush ("light speed"). High PR levels and continued logicat puzzles, with Tesseract turned off, give you the QQs to buy The Fading, and some dragon boosts like Ooh, Shiny!

The Fading lets you boost Dragon Forge quickly. At precisely 15 minutes before the top of each hour (in the alternate universe where time is measured in minutes and seconds, rather than NP and mNP), there is a 1 second window where the price of a Dragon Forge upgrade drops to 0. Click away. It's OK to start clicking a few seconds before the :45:00 window starts, and to continue beyond the 1 second window. Losing all your Logicat Levels on suboptimal buys doesn't seem to matter. This grind will take you a few days/weeks depending on how good you are at the clicking-a-moving-button metagame.

When you can save up the vacuums for Centenarian Mutant Ninja Tortoise, do it. Even if it takes a few days of idling. The Ninja Ritual stops updating at 10KWWQ, and you'll need CMNT to get infinite goats. This in turn gets you infinite mustard (after feeding the Achronal Dragon). With infinite goats and mustard, you get 2 more levels of WIWTMP, and your vacuums will go up like crazy. This also lets you buy Aleph e (be sure to enable it!) and Saturnav.

Infinite goats also allow you to multibuy CDSP levels. You'll need infinite Achronal Dragon power too. So: open QQs to get Glassed Lightning; feed the Achronal Dragon twice (click to get back infinite tools after each feeding); click the "increase by 1000..." button on CDSP; hold a Mustard Sale; double-check that your tools, glass blocks, etc. are all back to infinite; wait for Goats to get back to infinite; and repeat. After a few dozen repetitions, you'll get CDSP to 1G and unlock Panthers Dream, which gets you to W Bonemeal, allowing you to lay multiple dragon eggs.

When you finally get Dragon Forge maxed out (at 10H), turn off Tangled Tesseract and build up Logicat Level and QQs. Your goal is Hubble Double, which is the first half of the gateway to Diamond Masterpieces.


At NP 1458, you can get the 50th mysterious map, to unlock the Dragon Nesting Site and begin raising dragons. You'll need a contiguous chunk of at least 2 hours of real life time to raise your first dragon.

The best guide to dragons is currently The Quick Guide to Dragons, which is outdated and partly incorrect, but gives you a decent overview of the basics. There is also a simulator spreadsheet available for testing nest linings. (Unfortunately, this spreadsheet is no longer accurate for version 4.)

First steps:

  • Get the Dragon Nesting Site, Dragon Queen, and Raptorish Dragon Keeping Manual.
  • Turn on the NP Dragons Info indicator, in the central options section (you may have to scroll down). The Dragons Overview won't work yet, though -- there's a boost for that, later.
  • Make sure you've got infinite (not mustard!) castles, glass blocks, and glass chips. Optionally, have infinite blackprints and flux crystals. You can leave the vacuum running if you have Aleph One.

To raise a dragon:

  • Go into the Dragon Nest boost, and set the Sand, Castles, Glass Chips and Glass Blocks sliders based on your strategy. See the spreadsheet and some tips below.
  • Go into the Dragon Queen boost, and lay an egg (costs 1M bonemeal).
  • The egg will take 2k mNP to hatch (or half that with Incubator). This will give you a Dragon Hatchling.
  • Go into the Dragon Hatchling boost and feed it (costs 1M goats).
  • The Hatchling will take another 2k mNP to fledge. This will give you a Dragling (at the start; bigger dragons later).
  • Jump to an appropriate NewPix and fledge the Dragling. It will have to fight a local serf (or larger enemy). If it wins, it will live in this NP, and you can see it in the NP Dragons Info while you are in this NP. You will also get some Gold and Experience (these are both Stuff), or possibly equipment, for winning the battle.

Currently (version 3.667) you cannot get equipment (Spines, Big Teeth, etc.) by digging. This is one of the changes since the Quick Guide was written. You can only get equipment by winning battles. So, don't worry about digging power with your early dragons. Give them attack and defense so they can survive.

Your first dragons should be fledged in the lowest NPs (1, 2, 3, etc.) as these are the only places you can survive. The local fauna that you have to fight get more aggressive and numerous with higher NP numbers. Getting 11 consecutive colonized NPs is a high priority, to unlock Incubator and double your egg production.

When your dragons are not injured or hiding, they will dig. You can get Gold and Diamonds this way (later, other minerals). After your dragons have dug up 20 treasures, you will unlock Beach Dragon, which lets you click to help them dig. (Turn off the Tangled Tesseract long enough to build up the QQs to buy it, then turn TT back on.)

After you get Incubator, you may want to divert a bit of your nest lining into dig power, to boost your Diamond production. You'll need a few Diamonds to buy any equipment you're lucky enough to unlock, but your odds aren't great at this stage.

Some information about fights:

  • "Riverish" means the fight lasted less than 5 rounds. "Seaish" means it lasted more than 17 rounds.
  • A "very hard" fight is a pyrrhic victory that costs you a dragon (out of a clutch of 2 or more). A "hard" fight requires recovery time. If you win "with ease", no recovery time is required.
  • Winning with ease will also reset your healing/hiding time to 0.
  • Your odds of unlocking equipment depend on the type of opponent you defeat, and what the game calls a "blitz value". The blitz value is calculated from the ratio of your dragon's attack and defense. A highly defensive dragon has a significantly reduced chance of unlocking equipment, possibly even zero chance.

After you've got a few reasonable digging dragons, put fighting dragons past them. Once your total of Big Teeth and Spines is at least 2-3, consider fighting Redundaknights instead of hiding. (You'll still lose a fair number of dragons, so expect to replace them.)

The limit on Spines and Big Teeth in version 3.667 is 8 per Dragon Queen level (another change from the Quick Guide). See the table below.

Once you've got 3-4 Spines, start spawning dragons in peasant territory (NP 150-ish) with max defense. They will die, but hopefully with dignity. This will help you build up Experience to level up the Dragon Queen (and to buy equipment, which starts to get expensive). If you continue fighting Redundaknights meanwhile, you might also get some more equipment, which is extremely important.

DragonNewts and Wyrms[]

Once you've upgraded the Dragon Queen, you will start hatching DragonNewts. These have 100 times the attack/defense and digging of Draglings, and give the chance of some new equipment (and more Big Teeth and Spines). Life is all great, except for one thing: the Redundaknights will start appearing from a minimum NP of 271. These will wreck you. So you'll have to hide from Redundaknights for a good while.

(In version 4, Redundaknights attack from your effective fledged NP, plus or minus 29. Your effective fledged NP is your actual fledged NP, or 300 times your Dragon Queen level, whichever is higher. So, for DragonNewts at NP 300 or below, Redundaknights will attack from NP 271 to 329.)

You can fledge DragonNewts very easily, though. Hatch some max digging (or nearly max, maybe 1-2 points in attack/defense) dragons and let them dig. Fledging still gives a chance of equipment. When you get Ooh, Shiny! and a bunch of gold, you can put some attack/defense dragons around NP 150. Check the spreadsheet (once someone writes an updated one...) and see if you can handle the Redundaknights from NP 329. When you can handle those, at least sometimes, then you can resume fighting Redundaknights. Keep attack/defense dragons in the higher NPs, and digging dragons in the lower NPs.

When you can afford the Dragon Overview boost, you may find that it doesn't work. If you just get a minuscule empty rectangle in the top left corner, go into the Layouts screen. "Lock Layout" is highlighted by default; click it to unlock the layout, which allows you to resize and move the various windows.

When you've got most of the possible equipment at the DragonNewt level (4-8 Armor and Tusks, 8-16 Teeth and Spines, Ooo Shiny! and some Gold) you can lose with dignity to the Squires around NP 583, but you may have to reduce your defense to avoid ties. (Ties are bad, because you'll fledge with no Experience gain, then get wiped out by the first Redundaknight you face, again for no Experience. You need to win, or lose with dignity, to get any Experience.)

Losing with dignity to a few Squires for 1G Experience may be necessary to buy the last couple Teeth and Spines, but won't get you close to the 1T Experience you need for the next Dragon Queen update. Unfortunately the difficulty jump at NP 600 (Knights) is incredibly large. You can get a max defense dragon with about 1.2M defense, but the Knights have 800M attack and defense. Even with 7000 Gold, max equipment and fledging 2 dragons, you still cap out at 3.5M defense.

One strategy to farm Experience at this point is to fledge fighting dragons (20+20 attack and 30+30 defense works pretty well) around NP 480. With full DragonNewt equipment you should be able to handle Redundaknights (they will come from up to 29 NPs higher), for multiple G Experience. You'll have to recover sometimes, but it's still faster than just fledging.

Once you upgrade the Dragon Queen again, you'll start fledging Wyrms. Once again, you'll be able to fledge easily in the lower NPs, but Redundaknights will destroy you. Your effective fledged NP is always at least 600, so Redundaknights will attack from NP 571 (Squires) to NP 629 (Knights). Hide and fledge diggers until you've got some of the new Wyrm equipment (Big Bites, Mirror Scales) and additional Dragling and DragonNewt equipment, so you can survive the tougher opponents.

Attempting to fledge a pair of Wyrms in NP 1-99 will unlock Topiary (only one Wyrm will survive). You can do this over top of a Dragling or DragonNewt. This should(?) become important later, when you want to use Cryogenics heavily.

With enough equipment, you'll eventually be able to keep a pair of Wyrms alive at a high NP (720 is the highest you can go and still guarantee you are never attacked by a Baron).

Watch out for the "blitz value" problem. When you accumulate a large hoard of Gold, your defense bonus from Ooh, Shiny! becomes quite huge. This is great, because it keeps you alive... not so great, though, when it means you stop getting equipment unlocks. You may need to fledge some pure attack dragons in high NPs to try to overcome this.

Wyrms can get a huge boost to attack -- after you max out your Big Bites, you can get 8 Double Bytes and then 8 Trilobites, all much cheaper than the final Big Teeth, Spines and Adamantine Armour. Once you've maxed out the Trilobites and most of the Big Teeth and Spines, you can lose with dignity against Barons, at least occasionally. A nest lining of 38+38 attack and 12+12 defense seems to work for version 4.002 with 22-23 Big Teeth and Spines, and 12 Adamantine Armour. You can save scum the total losses, or just live with them. The Barons will give you 1P experience each, which you can also boost with Pope.

Eventually, you can win against the early Barons with a sufficiently large clutch, using Cryogenics. (Remember, you can fledge 8 dragons in NP 750.) I wouldn't suggest trying this until you have 23/24 Spines, 23/24 Big Teeth, at least 12 (possibly 13) Adamantine Armour. Use your next few P experience to buy the final Spines and Teeth.

In either case, whether you try to survive at NP 750, or just die repeatedly with dignity, your goal is to get enough Experience to buy the 14th Adamantine Armour. This lets you unlock Cut Diamonds, which is the key to real Diamond production, and the second half of the gateway to Diamond Masterpieces.

Diamond Masterpieces[]

To get here, you need Hubble Double and Cut Diamonds, as well as a whole slew of dragons digging up Diamonds. Cut Diamonds raises the Diamond production rate (changing the formula from logarithmic to linear). Once you get this, let Diamonds accumulate up to 2.2M to unlock Sparkle, which multiples Diamond production rate by 1.01n, where n is the number of consecutive NPs with dragons. (With 300 consecutive NPs, this gives a multiplier of almost 20.) Unfortunately, you'll need 17.77M Diamonds and 1E (i.e. 1000P) Experience to actually buy it. You might need to keep the Pope on Experience until you rack up 1E. Once you buy Sparkle, though, switch The Pope to Diamonds.

One by one, if you haven't done so already, finish buying and building the diamond masterpiece boosts:

  • Diamond Mould Making
  • Diamond Mould Filling
  • Diamond Masterpiece Cooker
  • Diamond Masterpiece Burnisher
  • Diamond Masterpiece Pedestal

There's a Blackprints/Rosetta/Auto Assemble step for all but the last of these.

First, locate the Glass Monuments tab/button. You will need to click it in a timely manner in a moment. Also make sure you have Black Powder already purchased, and the maximum number of dragons fledged in your target NP.

Once you have the Pedestal, travel to NP 1, and open a bunch of QQs to get the Muse boost. (It's a temporary boost, that appears in the [draconic] section.)

While you are in NP 1 with the Must boost active, click on the Glass Monuments tab, then go to the monument that corresponds to your NP. There will be a "Start" button on it. Press that to start making a Diamond Mould.

Now set the Temporal Anchor (or Coma Molpy Style) to freeze yourself at your current NP until the Diamond Mould is complete. Once the Mould is made, there will be some more buttons to press, to fill the Mould, cook the masterpiece, and burnish it. Once it's ready to mount, blow up the glass masterpiece with Black Powder, open more QQs to re-unlock Black Powder (also required for mounting), buy it again, and finally mount the masterpiece. Only the mould creation step requires you to stay on the same NP, so you can turn off Temporal Anchor and travel around freely once the mould is complete. However you do need to return to the same NP to begin mounting.

The costs increase a bit for your next masterpieces. If you have every discovery and traveled to NP0, you can also build a masterpiece there for almost nothing. There is a complex function to determine the price at a given NP; it has a sinusoidal component with minima at multiples of 180, as well as some exponentials... long story short, NP 179 is the second cheapest. Here's a table for the discoveries up to NP 320:

This shows only the initial mould cost, in Diamonds, and the cooking cost per mNP, in Coal (see below). Diamond costs for filling and mounting total a little over 3 times the initial mould costs for early NPs. Other costs than Diamonds and Coal (e.g. Vacuums for burnishing) are typically insignificant. Also note that the time it takes to build the initial mould goes up as well. Building the mould at NP 179, for example, takes 34 NP; see below for ways to help with this.

The first 4-5 masterpieces are the most important. Number 4 unlocks Grouchy Dragon, Leaping Panther (GDLP) which lets you boost CDSP beyond 1G. Each step costs 1G Diamonds plus infinite Goats, so you can work on that as time and Diamonds permit. Number 5 unlocks Glaciation (you'll want Wyvern level Experience to buy it). Glaciation will let you mass-lay eggs without having to stick around to hatch them hours later.

Continue building masterpieces. After a while, you'll find that the time required to build them is the bottleneck, not the Diamonds. The teen masterpiece boosts (Dragong, All Claws on Deck) help a little bit. There is also a Pope setting to decrease the time all of the steps take, which you may want to use when Diamonds stop being your bottleneck.

The Coal cost per mNP is e(NP*NP/3098)/10. Coal should not be a problem for the early masterpieces. When you get the Sea Mining temporary boost at the right moment and click the beach for a minute or two, you can get most of 1M Coal. Doing this a few times should be enough until you build the 19th masterpiece and buy Annilment.

Coal will become an issue somewhere between the 25th and 30th masterpieces. Be careful not to overcommit on Coal during the Cooking phase, or you'll lose the mould and all of the resources you put into it. The Coal cost is fixed per mNP of cooking (based on the masterpiece's NP), but the time to cook can be reduced (with two boosts and the Pope setting, see above). Reducing the cooking time will indirectly reduce the resource costs.

Each Diamond Masterpiece unlocks more Maps (which you can collect automatically with Saturnav enabled and Temporal Anchor disabled), with the effect becoming quite noticeable after the 3rd Masterpiece and increasing exponentially from there. More maps means more cake! So the main reason you're building masterpieces is to increase your dragon clutch size and decrease total hatching time. (E.g. with 20 masterpieces, you can lay 40 eggs, and they take less than 7 hours to hatch.) In the moments between masterpieces, when you've got a bunch of dragons on ice, and your Nest Lining is appropriate (watch out for Flux Crystals! especially right after the Black Powder dance), you can fledge them. Turn the entire timeline purple with your Wyverns.


The goals in this section appear to be independent of Dragons and Diamond Masterpieces and may be pursued in parallel, once you reach a high enough NewPix.

The Time comic ends at NP 3094. Starting at NP 3095, there are pictures of cats. When you get here, and have all 1362 of the discoveries, you will unlock Signpost, which lets you travel to NP 0. Spend half an hour at NP 0 (it counts as shortpix) to unlock 3D Lens; then use Now Where Was I? to get back to the regular timeline.

(There is also a discovery at NP 0. And you can fledge a dragon there. And then build a diamond masterpiece. So, you may not want to leave immediately.)

Each catpix NP can be drained using the Camera (at the cost of infinite goats) to produce 1 Dimension Shard. You can drain positive and negative NPs. Collect 16 Shards to buy the Anticausal Autoclave, which lets you turn Shards into Panes. Get another 8 Shards (total 24), turn one of them into a Pane, time travel to your highest NP, and you can buy Portable Goalpost. Don't use it casually, because it costs you a Shard + infinite Flux Crystals to set it, or to return to it.

Plumber's Vise is easy to unlock: create a Pane with Italian Plumber turned on (and at least 1Z vaults opened). You'll want IP on for all Pane creation after the first one.

To unlock Kitty Catalogue, you need to have drained at least 48 NPs total. Then travel to a positive Catpix NP that is exactly 10 higher than any undrained Catpix NP, and drain it. Ignore the Prowl button on the Catalogue for now; you'll need it to unlock Sigma Stacking, Glass Ceiling Cat and Aperture Science later.

The next goal is Eigenharmonics. You need 121 sequences of 12 drained NPs; these sequences can overlap, so the minimum requirement is 132 consecutive NPs, or 72 consecutive positive NPs and 71 consecutive negative NPs. Eigenharmonics multiplies your Shard production by 1.03n, where n is the number of sequences of 12.

After you get several hundred Shards, the next goal is Sigma Stacking. You'll need to have drained all of the NPs up to at least 3172, and be in positive NPs (or drain down to at least -3172 and be in negative NPs). Then use the Prowl button on the Kitty Catalogue to unlock it. You'll need 800 Shards and 4 Panes to buy it.

At this point, you should have plenty of Shards (draining NPs will give you tens of thousands now). You'll be limited on Panes, due to the Flux Crystal cost. (Spending each xx:30 o'clock in a shortpix may help.) You need 6 Panes for Subspatial Plane-Packing, and then 1 more Pane each time you want to use it to upgrade Tangled Tesseract. (It's probably better to save your Panes for now, instead of upgrading TT.)

Leo DiCatrio costs another 6 Panes, and I don't yet know whether it will eventually pay for itself, or whether it even works at all.

You'll need to save up 48 Panes to buy Glass Ceiling Cat (unlockable at NP 3275 via the Prowl button), so start on that in advance. Once you buy GCC, note that it boosts your Shard production only when you lock ceilings that are divisors of the NP number you're about to drain. E.g. if you're draining NP 3285 = 3 * 3 * 5 * 73, you want to lock ceilings 3, 5 and 9. There is a Google doc which shows the divisors, if you don't feel like calculating them yourself.

Next up is Retroreflector, which lets you drain positive/negative NP pairs simultaneously. Unlock it by draining 144 positive/negative pairs manually.

There's not much more you can do here until you reach NP 4000. Keep draining all of the NPs, though, because some of the unlocks at NP 4000 require that you have drained everything up to that point. Once you get there, you can begin work on colors.


Remember grinding 1000P Experience to buy Sparkle? Well, you get to do it once more to upgrade your dragons to Wyverns. You shouldn't start on this until you're confident that you'll have 1G (billion) Diamonds by the time you get 1E Experience, which probably means you'll need a couple hundred Wyrms digging away. Set The Pope to either Diamonds or Experience, whichever you think will be your bottleneck.

You should also have all of the Wyrm equipment, except for the final 2 Adamantine Armour upgrades, since buying the 15th AA costs more Exp than Sparkle + Wyverns combined.

Once you buy the upgrade, your existing Wyrms can continue fighting Redundaknights to unlock lots of new boosts and equipment. Of special note, Marketing lets you set the nest lining to a total of 200% instead of 100%, as well as unlocking a bunch of basically free boosts. Buy up all of the equipment that you can (more Teeth, Spines, Mirror Scales, etc.).

Note: when you put more than 50%+50% (0.25 product) into a single nest lining, the game randomizes the final result. So, your 100%+100% digging dragons, which would normally have a dig power of exactly 1, will actually end up with a power of 1*rand(), which is a random value from 0 to 1, with an average of 0.5. If you're wondering why your digging dragons all have strange, different values, this is why.

Once you've bought everything you can with Baron-level Experience, it's time to dragon up and face the Lords. Line the nest for attack and defense, and lay at least 10 eggs; use Cryogenics to freeze them as they hatch. When you've got 10 ready to fledge, go to NP 901, save, and fledge them. If you lose, load and try again. The Exp you get from Lords (NP 900+) will let you continue working on the more expensive boosts (the 27th Spines, and so on). With any luck you'll get a few of these boosts before you're attacked by double Lords from NP 930. Don't feel ashamed to save-scum any disastrous losses.

Lords (and above) will sometimes drop Princesses. Having these increases the number of opponents you can be attacked by, when fighting Redundaknights in your lower NPs. They can also be fed to hatchlings, instead of Goats; doing so improves your breath and magic. (Magic cannot be used by any dragon types currently available, up to Wyverns.)

In current versions (up to 4.002), fire breath is not powerful enough to affect fight outcomes, even if it is maxed out. The only reason to use breath in fights currently is to unlock boosts (Catalyzer). This may change in the future.

Princesses also unlock Way of the Panther and Way of the Tortoise. The former is a 100x attack multiplier, and the latter is a 100x defense multiplier. They are mutually exclusive, and your choice is permanent (unless you cheat). The way combat currently works (if your attack is 10x the opponent's physical attack, the opponent does not get a physical attack against you in the first round), you should choose Panther.


You can start this section once you get to NP 4000, and have drained all of the catpix for shards. Make sure there is at least one catpix >= 4000 which hasn't been drained yet, and click the Prowl button in the Kitty Catalogue. If you haven't missed any catpix below 4000, you'll unlock Aperture Science. I believe you will need Fields' Mettle in order to buy the boost 1000 times in a single NP. Use the Robotic Shopper, and it should be done as soon as your browser user interface becomes responsive again.

Having Aperture Science lets you buy Dimensional Keyholes, for 1 Pane each (open QQs to unlock the Dimensional Keyhole boost in the shop). Keyholes let you explore in something called TaTpix ("Time after Time pictures"), also known as the t1i timeline.

To get to the t1i timeline, activate the Signpost to get to NP 0. Spend 1 ONG there, and Controlled Hysteresis will unlock. Go to it, and click the t1i button. Wait for another ONG, and you will go to "NP 1 of t1i".

The t1i timeline shares many properties with the regular ("OTC") timeline. You can fledge dragons in the positive NPs. There are discoveries, both positive and negative, and you can make sand/glass monuments, and even diamond masterpieces.

When you get to NP 12 of t1i, you can unlock Green Sun (as a Redundakitty reward, so let your dragons hide for at least a brief time). It'll cost 40 Panes to buy. Having it greatly increases your Panes production (via the Autoclave), from 1 to 4TaTpix/4. (TaTpix in this formula is slightly higher than your highest visited t1i NP. When I tested with Aperture limiting me to TaTpix 21, my highest-visited NP was actually 22, and the value of TaTpix was 22.1.)

Your progress in t1i is limited by Dimensional Keyholes, which are a logic reward. They stop appearing when your logic level falls below 10AS (where AS is the Aperture Science level). So, to get more Keyholes, you need more logic levels, which means you should boost Tesseract as far as you can. Tesseract is limited by how many vaults you've opened, so boost Italian Plumber and let it run. Turn off Shadow Coda and Shadow feeder if you haven't already, and do the occasional logic puzzle for a big logic level reward.

Important: you'll need to turn Tesseract off to get any Keyholes to appear, since Tesseract suppresses all logic rewards. (You may need to turn it off to restock QQs anyway, with Plumber eating them all. Speaking of which, you won't be able to run Plumber full-time at a rate higher than 1Y or so. One Reddit thread suggests 5Y as the maximum sustainable rate, though I haven't seen the math.)

While in t1i, clicking the picture creates a new kind of Stuff called Blueness. Blueness slowly decays into Otherness (another Stuff), which decays back into Blueness. The process is lossy, so you'll eventually run out of both when you stop clicking.

Click a bit and get 500 Blueness, and buy Ocean Blue, which creates some Blueness for free every mNP. Argy, Blue's Hints and Improved Scaling follow shortly. Click even more to buy Meteor, for some Otherness production.

Use Argy (costing 50 Blue and 50 Other) to create 1 Blackness. Do it 4 more times to unlock Polarizer. Polarizing Blackness will create Whiteness (5 Blackness as a catalyst + 15(?) more Blackness = 1 Whiteness). However, Whiteness and Blackness react with each other (destructively). Immediately upon polarizing a single Whiteness, it will react with 2 Blackness and they'll both be gone. This same reaction occurs every mNP.

In order to get some Whiteness to last long enough to buy Not a Priest, you'll want to polarize at least 10 Whiteness at once -- which means you need 200 Blackness (a bit less would work, but once you have 100 Blackness the next click buys 100 more, so there you go). So, get 200 Blackness, then activate ASHF, then polarize, and buy Not a Priest quickly. This should also get you some Grayness, and then you can buy Equilibrium Constant. (Hallowed Ground takes a bit more work -- 400 Blackness and 2 polarizing clicks should do it.)

Once you have Ocean Blue, Meteor and Hallowed Ground (possibly with Not a Priest enabled), you can let the game idle, and your colors will slowly go up. Wait long enough and you can buy pInsanity. Turn that on, tell Robotic Shopper to auto-buy Blue Fragment and Atomic Pump, and you'll start racking up Blue's Hints power levels. This will boost your color production immensely, but is extremely message-spammy.
