Hi, I've tried to upload an svg image with a bit of javascript in it (toggling of elements). It's not much for the moment, but I think it might give some ideas to people for the possibilities this entails (just a random idea: showing a frame corresponding to any point of the map, a la "google street view").
Is it technically possible / a good idea to open the rights for this? I don't know anything about wiki configuration, I just found this link: http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Thread:Project:Support_desk/This_file_contains_HTML_or_script_code_that_may_be_erroneously_interpreted_by_a_web_browser.
Several pages ago someone brought up the idea of having a collaborative blog, to record what has been going on each 24 longpix. This seems to have been buried in the 500-page celebrations, so I thought I'd bring the idea up again here.
I stumbled upon this place quite by accident, while I was just trying to find out what happened in Time yesterday. Having read through several articles now, I have concluded that this wiki represents either everything that is wrong with the internet, or everything that is right.
Either way, keep it up, my strange, strange internet friends.
Soon there will be more frames in this one Comic than there are are total comics in the entire history of XKCD. Actually, there are two Singularities approaching. First the number will exceed 1190, the total number of comics prior to the Comic. Shortly afterwards, it will catch up with the full total. Just thought that was noteworthy...
It's quite time-consuming having to create each Book of Time page manually, I was wondering if anyone has a bot that create all the needed pages? If not, I'll just create them manually.
Umm, can someone delete Book of Time Page 0? I added it because it fixed a problem temporarily, but now its in the way and I can't remove it.
We have a forum about a Wiki created with regards to a forum topic about a webcomic. Meta-awesome!
